Tessa became in heat in the middle of July and I calculated the best days to mate her would be most likely the last weekend of July - the only days I had promised to be in a particular place during my summer vacation. After first progesterone measuring on Thursday I desided to wait after the weekend and head to Kuopio on Monday. On Monday morning we headed first to Veter for progesterone measuring and after getting the result (7,7 ng/ml) started our road trip to Kuopio. It was our third time in Kuopio in a very short period of time - after that trip I was not able to drive back there at the end of that week for Sawo Show.

We arrived in Kuopio just before 6 pm and Hunter knew right away why we were there. It took him less than 20 minutes to mate Tessa. The mating was repeated again next morning and around lunchtime neither of them were interested on each other anymore and we headed back home. A big thank for everybody in Kuopio for your hospitality!

Today we headed to the veterinary for a ultra sound scan with Tessa. I was quite sure of the pregnance but wanted to make sure. The vet found quite easily the first three embryos and estimated all together 6 of them. We will see how accurate that estimate is by the end of September. Until that we will keep you posted on Tessa's pregnancy like we did last year.
